S.P. Read Esq: Liverpool v West Ham

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Sunday’s Premier League clash between LIVERPOOL v WEST HAM and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadI couldn’t have got the Leicester / Leicester recommendation more wrong if I tried yesterday. Though I surely couldn’t have been the only one.

What the surprise result did bring was temporary reprieve for Leicester. The same as Middlesbrough earlier in the week – just one win can make a huge difference at the foot of a compacted table.

Sadly, I can’t see much reprieve for West Ham today who are in a wretched run of form, already in the bottom three, have a new stadium that the fans don’t like and face a bang in form Liverpool who are very much in the title race.

If Liverpool hadn’t inexplicably blown a 2-0 and 3-1 lead against Bournemouth they’d now be leading the table and will be keen to put that nightmare behind them.

It was still a better result than the hammering that West Ham took in their latest match – a 5-1 home defeat at the hands of Arsenal a result which supposedly left West Ham boss Slaven Bilic “humiliated”.

Bilic said: “I spoke to the chairman on Monday like I did after every game. It was a normal conversation rather than a meeting.

“The only way to get out of this situation is by working hard, and we have had good training sessions this week.

In their defence, West Ham were missing nine players last weekend and will have Aaron Cresswell and Michail Antonio back after groin strains.
