S.P. Read Esq: Man City v Chelsea

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Saturday’s Premier League clash between MAN CITY v WEST HAM and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadFeature match of the Premier League weekend is without doubt the 12.30pm opener on Saturday – Man City v Chelsea. The winners will head the table and if it’s Chelsea they’ll open up a four point lead.

Man City beat Chelsea 3-0 in BOTH league fixtures last season but are a much improved side this season under Antonio Conte who said ahead of this key game: “It will be a tough game, a great test for us for our formation.

“We know it won’t be easy, we face a really great team. We want to show we are working very well and growing and another step to show if something is changing from the start of the season.”

Conte continues to be without the services of John Terry and is unlikely to make many, if any, changes. He has selected the same starting 11 for the last six league games now.

City are without the injured Vincent Kompany but otherwise Pep Guardiola has a full strength side to choose from.

Man City made a superb start to the season but have shown vulnerabilities of late and it might be the time for Chelsea to take advantage. I like the fact that Chelsea haven’t had European matches getting in the way and that they are playing exciting football again.
