S.P. Read Esq: West Ham v Man U
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Monday’s Premier League clash between WEST HAM v MAN U and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
I’ve only just woken up. Not from any New Year over-indulgences you understand but from trying to watch the Middlesbrough v Leicester earlier game.
Hopefully, Premier League 2017 will deliver more excitement than that 0-0 borefest.
West Ham take on Man U at the London Stadium in the late televised kick off and I strongly fancy the visitors to come out on top.
Man U have found some good form – coming from behind to beat Middlesbrough on Saturday and in doing so recording their sixth straight success which has lifted them to sixth in the table. This will be their final league game before hosting Liverpool at Old Trafford on the 15th January so they’ll no doubt be anxious to get another three points on the board.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho said: ”It’s difficult for us and difficult for West Ham. We’ve both played at the same time, we’ve both had difficult matches and couldn’t rest players.
“The intensity of the game was very high for them, for sure, against Leicester, and for us the same. And now we have 48 hours to play, so it’s difficult for all of us.”
West Ham looked liked getting dragged right into the relegation zone prior to Christmas but have bounced back well with three wins in a row against Burnley, Hull and Swansea.
The Hammers might be without captain Mark Noble who will be assessed after he took a blow to his knee against Leicester.
Alvaro Arbeloa, Arthur Masuaku, Diafra Sakho and Gokhan Tore all remain out.
