Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Saturday’s Premier League clash between LIVERPOOL v ARSENAL and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Highlight of Saturday’s action is Liverpool v Arsenal (5.30pm BT).
It’s a fixture that usually produces goals- seven in the reverse fixture at the Emirates on the opening weekend of the season and only one of their last 10 meetings has seen less than two goals – 0-0 in Aug 2015 – there’s always the exception to the rule !
2017 hasn’t been kind to Liverpool with only one Premier League win to their name and they were hugely disappointing last time when losing 3-1 to Leicester.
The Gunners have been more consistent but have lost two of their last three Premier League games against Watford and Chelsea.
Liverpool do seem to play well against the bigger clubs with wins this season against Tottenham, Manchester City, Chelsea and that opening loss to Arsenal who have history against them today as they haven’t won at Anfield since 2012.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson remains out with a foot injury, while Daniel Sturridge is absent because of a hip strain.
Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp said of Daniel Sturridge’s future: “I have no idea what happens in the summer. It is not only Daniel, but a lot of players. Daniel was not in training for eight or nine days because of a virus infection.
“We have to bring him back to the best shape possible and then bring this season to an end as successfully as possible. Then we will make decisions.
“A lot of things will influence this and we can speak about it when it is time.”
