S.P. Read Esq: Juventus v Monaco
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Tuesday’s Champions League game between JUVENTUS v MONACO and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Monaco have been the revelation of this year’s Champions League with their attacking and exciting brand of football but Gonzalo Higuain may already have done enough to stop them in their tracks.
Higuain scored both goals in the first leg and defending is what Juventus do well. No visiting side have won at the Juventus Stadium this season and the hosts presumably will be quite content to sit back on their 2-0 lead to book their place in the final in Turin.
The stats are even more gloomy for Monaco fans. They have never won a game in Italy in seven previous attempts and no team has ever come back from a two goal home deficit to win a Champions League game in the knockout phase.
Monaco are likely to try and make a lightning quick start. Coach Leonardo Jardim said: “We have to stay confident, try to play our game and put on a good performance and if we score at the start of the game, maybe that could change things.”
