S.P. Read Esq: Epsom Tuesday
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Tuesday’s racing at EPSOM and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
My worst stage of the Premier League season. First three weeks of great action and then the door gets slammed shut for the World Cup Qualifiers – great only if you like your football bets of the 1/200 variety 🙁
The World Cup Qualifiers are probably the answer to my next Tuesday gripe. Surely one of the four Premier League games on Sunday could have been held over to give some higher profile focus to Bank Holiday Monday?
No disrespect to AFC Fylde and Barrow but to have that as the only televised game on a day of leisure (for most) seems madness.
Would it really have caused problems to the precious World Cup Qualifiers if Spurs v Burnely (for example) had been delayed 24 hours to provide live Wembley action on Bank Holiday Monday?
Anyway, the dearth of live football continues today with just one televised game Bentleigh Greens v Western Sydney Wanderers and you’ve missed it as it kicked off at 10.30 !!
The racing has a Monday (editor: it’s TUESDAY) feel to it as well but there are some opportunities notably at Epsom.
The Star Spreads distances quote is 9-10 and I am a seller at 9 on what looks an incredibly trappy card.
Epsom is always a course I am wary of in terms of buying distances as it’s rare to see runaway winners on fast ground. Whether it’s the course camber I’m not sure but it’s a course that seems to throw up tight finishes for fun.
One, or rather two words I am hoping to hear a lot today. Photograph, Photograph.
