S.P. Read Esq: Man City v Liverpool
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Saturday’s Premier League clash between MAN CITY v LIVERPOOL and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
It’s back !!! The Premier League and a whole host of attractive fixtures to get stuck into after the enforced World Cup Qualifiers break.
We’re only three matches into the new Premier League season but already the pressure will be starting to mount on Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and West Ham who are all on ‘nil points’ whilst Brighton are outside the early drop zone but they haven’t even scored a goal yet!
The preview match has to be the opener. Man City v Liverpool at the Etihad – High Noon – well half noon and it promises to be a cracker with both sides making a solid start with two wins and a draw apiece.
The same fixture finished 1-1 last season and City have lost just one of their past eight Premier League home games against Liverpool (W4, D3).
The match could well see the debut of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for Liverpool after his £35m transfer from Arsenal on deadline-day.
City’s captain Vincent Kompany is a doubt after picking up a calf injury whilst playing for Belgium and Raheem Sterling is suspended after his red card at Bournemouth.
The team news certainly seems more favourable to Liverpool and that might negate home advantage for City.
