The ‘weekend’ closes off at Turf Moor tonight when Burnley will play host to Newcastle in the 8pm Monday live game.

First things first. Newcastle are too short a price for the away win here in my opinion. Burnley seem to be a side that are constantly under-rated but have only been beaten twice in the Premier League this season – not surprisingly by Man City who are beating everyone and they were also beaten in their first home game of the season by West Brom having earlier got off to a sensational start by beating champions Chelsea 3-2 at Stamford Bridge on the opening day of the season.

Since then a run of (mainly draws) has seen them move into 10th spot. Manager Sean Dyche is currently heavily linked with the vacant Everton job and said: “I mentioned last week different links with different clubs have come around – but they are others people’s stories, not mine.

“They are out of my hands. In the short to medium term, I am going to continue working hard as I have done.”

Dyche will be without the services of Burnley’s record signing Chris Wood is who has a hamstring injury but fellow striker Sam Vokes is likely to return from an abdominal strain.

Newly promoted Newcastle are also doing well and sit in eighth, just a point clear of Burnley and a win for either side tonight will propel them into sixth spot.

After losing their opening two games Newcastle have bounced back well under Rafael Benitez with wins against West Ham, Swansea, Stoke and Crystal Palace. Only one of those wins however has come away from St. James’ Park and the last time these two sides met in 2014/5 both games finished a draw.

Should be close and with Newcastle defending well I can’t see too many goals about but The Clarets again look to be under-estimated by the markets.

As such, I am selling the Newcastle win index at 12 with Star Spreads. This will ensure a small profit from a draw and a bumper profit with a Burnley win.
