S.P. Read Esq: Ipswich Town v Sheffield Wednesday
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Wednesday’s Championship clash between IPSWICH TOWN v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Didn’t quite get into profit last night with the BUY of the first match goal at 33 minutes but it arrived after 31 minutes, so not too much damage done.
Another big night of Champions League action tonight but with Chelsea kicking off early and several short priced options on the card, the live Championship game makes more appeal from a betting perspective.
It’s Ipswich v Sheffield Wednesday at 7.45pm (live SKY) and the betting is close, as you might expect for two sides separated by a single point in mid-division in the Championship table. Add to that there is seldom much to choose between these two sides (as you can see from the head to head stats below) and we should be in for a good match.
Ipswich won their first four league games of the season but it’s all gone a bit pear-shaped since then. They have been beaten in seven of their last 12 league games. On recent form you have to favour Wednesday who have picked up eight points from their last four games.
The Tractor Boys will be without left-back Jonas Knudsen, who is suspended but midfielders Emyr Huws and Teddy Bishop have been included in the squad by manager Mick McCarthy after recovering from long-term injuries.
The Owls have no new injury concerns.
