Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Saturday’s Premier League clash between LIVERPOOL v CHELSEA and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
As predicted, Atalanta duly disposed of the hapless Everton in their Europa League game by, in the end, a 5-1 margin !!!
More on Everton tomorrow as they are in action at Southampton but the focus today has to be at Anfield where Liverpool take on Chelsea in the 5.30pm game live on BT Sport.
There weren’t too many goals about (at half-time at least) in the five 3pm kick offs in the Premier League with just three goals after 45 minutes.
Whilst Liverpool and Chelsea usually provide goals, the head to head stats below show that there has only been more than three goals on just one occasion from their last 10 meetings. Liverpool are also unbeaten in their last five Premier League meetings with Chelsea.
Before today’s matches Chelsea and Liverpool were split by just three points in the table in third and fifth respectively.
It’s a quick reappearance for Chelsea who brushed aside Qarabag in the Champions League – a fact not lost on Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte who said: “To have only one day to rest and only one day to prepare this big game is not simple, is not easy. I think also it’s not right.
“I don’t want to make excuses, but this is the reality. Also, when people hear the complaints of the coach, also someone has to help us. The press, the TV, to underline this strange situation.”
Liverpool have had an extra 24 hours to prepare for this match after they threw away a 3-0 lead to draw against Sevilla on Tuesday.
