S.P. Read Esq: Bournemouth v Liverpool

We’re in for a treat if Bournemouth v Liverpool lives up to the same match as it was last season when Bournemouth ran out 4-3 winners – despite being 3-1 down after 64 minutes.

Bournemouth’s manager Eddie Howe said: “I think we have a lot in common [with Liverpool’s style]… our first thought is always to be positive, take the game to the opposition and to be brave in all aspects of our play.

“I don’t think we should change from that, we have tried the other way and it doesn’t suit us.

“We have good memories from last year, from both games. We competed in both and the game here will live long in the memory for the character shown by the players.

“The last 20 minutes is what I was looking for, the atmosphere in the stadium and the resolve from the players was excellent.”

Bournemouth are only a point off the drop zone and can ill afford to drop points here. Their home record isn’t strong this season but they are likely to attack Liverpool from the outset and it’s easy to see why there will be goals again.

Liverpool are in good form – unbeaten in their last eight Premier League games.
