S.P. Read Esq: Leganes v Real Madrid
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Thursday’s Copa Del Rey’s match between LEGANES v REAL MADRID and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Absolute scenes tonight as there is NO TELEVISED ACTION – well certainly not on my feeds so I may have to go all retro and check the result on teletext.
There’s Copa Del Rey action with Leganes taking on Real Madrid at 8.30pm – it looks one-sided on paper if La Liga form is to be believed but we saw a shock last night with Espanyol (17th) knocking out leaders Barcelona in a bad tempered match in which Messi also missed a penalty.
The team news is likely to be a leveller. Both Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are likely to be left out by coach Zinedine Zidane.
Benzema will also miss out as he has not completely recovered from the hamstring injury he picked up in El Clásico.
Both Ronaldo and Bale are being used sparingly presumably for an end of season push but it looks futile this season with Real Madrid now 19 points off Barcelona.

HEAD TO HEAD RECORD
(Maximum 10 matches)
Apr 2017 SPANISH LA LIGA Leganes 2-4 Real Madrid
Nov 2016 SPANISH LA LIGA Real Madrid 3-0 Leganes
Oct 2004 COPA DEL REY Leganes 1-2 Real Madrid
Dec 2003 COPA DEL REY Leganes 3-4 Real Madrid
Leganes have had two days less to recover for this game and also had a tough game on Monday when beaten 3-2 by Real Betis.
Bookings went through the roof in the Espanyol game last night and I’m hoping it will be a similar story here. Buying at anything under 50 on a Spanish cup game is usually a trade with limited downside and I’m quite happy to go in at 49 with Star Spreads.
