Spurs should outclass Watford at Wembley tonight but the odds tell you that, the trick is to find something at a backable price in the Monday Night Football game kicking off at 8pm.
Chelsea have put some pressure on Spurs for a top four finish so Spurs still have plenty to play for – which is a crucial factor for backers at this stage of the season as we saw with PSG last night who only drew 2-2 despite being 1/8 shots pre-match.
Spurs are only marginally bigger but the carrot of a top four finish should be enough to see them go marching on against a Watford side who should be safe in 13th spot and a current 38 points. They haven’t won for six matches though and it’s hard to see that run not continuing. Watford have lost their last seven away league matches against Spurs since a 5-1 win in May 1985 under Graham Taylor.
Watford’s head coach Javi Gracia said: “I think the players feel good and they are good players. These stadiums are the best opportunity to show our level and try to have a good performance.
“For sure, it can be a positive experience, but for us the most important thing is not where we play but trying to do good work and trying to get a good result wherever we play.”
Gracia has had an injury nightmare this season having 10 players out this season for two months or more and their goal drought is now 638 minutes.
