We’re now entering that unpredictable phase of the season, not that any other stage of the season is wholly predictable I might add 
With City crowned Champions yesterday after the abject performance of neighbours Man U it now becomes more about what the sides have left to play for.
Hard to believe it with such highly paid and pampered stars but their effort and motivation can wane at this advanced stage of the season.
Thankfully tonight’s game at the London Stadium should still have plenty of passion given that West Ham and Stoke are still very much in the relegation mix.
Particularly Stoke who would climb out of the bottom three if winning tonight but to do that they need to start scoring goals away from home and in their last last six away League games they have only mustered two goals.
The Hammers had a huge result when beating Southampton 3-0 and followed that up with a good point at Stamford Bridge. A win tonight could lift them as high 12th in the table from 15th and ever closer to the safety zone.
West Ham manager David Moyes said: “It was a great point at Chelsea. It’s not enough yet but the last two games have given us a lift.
“The ideal situation is to go unbeaten between now and the end of the season, there is no reason why we can’t do that.”
