S.P. Read Esq: Chelsea v Liverpool
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Sunday’s Premier League game between CHELSEA v LIVERPOOL and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Chelsea’s prospects of a top four finish appear remote and they come up against a Liverpool side who will no doubt be having one eye on their 26 May date with Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
Liverpool’s last two Premier League games have seen draws against West Brom and Stoke whilst Chelsea come into this on the back of three straight League wins with the Stamford Bridge seemingly steadied after faltering earlier this year. Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso is available after completing a three-match suspension but David Luiz and Ethan Ampadu remain on the sidelines with injury.
Chelsea’s head coach Antonio Conte said: “I think now our target, our focus, is to finish in the best possible way, to try to fight for a place in the Champions League.
“It won’t be easy. The situation is not in our hands. But we have to try and start with three points against Liverpool.”
For Liverpool Joe Gomez is out with a ankle injury joining Joel Matip, Emre Can, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana on the sidelines.

A DRAW should be enough for Liverpool to make certain of a top four spot and a win would guarantee it. However, this has a feel of an end of season, one of ‘those’ games encounter, that might not throw up as much as promised.
