Champions League Preview
Borussia Dortmund v Arsenal
Arsenal travel to the Westfalenstadion to take on Borussia in a crucial match which neither side can afford to lose. Napoli are breathing down their necks and look likely to pick up a win tonight in what has turned out to be the most fascinating group of the competition with all 3 teams currently on 6 points at the half-way stage. This promises to be an exciting match with both sides playing with great confidence in their respective leagues indeed Dortmund have scored an astonishing 31 Goals in just 11 Bundesliga outings and the Gunners aren’t exactly goal-shy either. Neither team looks capable of keeping a clean sheet in this one and for that reason I’m going to be a Buyer of the Total Goals at 3.3
Chelsea v Schalke
The Blues take on Schalke at the Bridge with both teams on 6 points heading into the game. Schalke will be looking to avenge a 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Mourinho’s men when they met earlier in the competition. On that occasion they fell behind very early on to a Fernando Torres strike and were clinically despatched on the break with Chelsea converting 3 of only 4 attempts on target. I have no doubt that score-line flattered Chelsea and believe Schalke, providing they can keep it tight early, are capable of making life difficult for the home team. A small Sell of Chelsea on the Supremacy market at 1.2 looks the best option here.
Barcelona v AC Milan
Undoubtedly the most glamorous match-up of the night takes place at the Camp Nou where AC Milan are the visitors. Barcelona should have too much firepower for their illustrious opponents but make limited appeal at over 2 goal favourites on the Supremacy market particularly given the fact that Milan possess players who can hurt them most notably Kaka and Robinho. A small Sell of Time 1st AC Milan Goal at 66 could pay dividends here.
