Premier League Predictions by James

Saturday 26th April

Southampton v Everton – 12:45pm BT Sport 1

Everton are flying at the minute and have a very real chance of making the last Champions League place. They don’t have a great record away to Southampton but you get the feeling that since the European place has eluded them, Southampton have taken their foot off the gas a little. Expect an Everton win here but low scoring.

Bet – Sell Total Goals @ 2.75

Fulham v Hull – 3:00pm

Fulham are running out of games and need to pick up a couple of wins in their last 3 to retain top flight status next season. Hull have a cup final to look forward to but need another win to guarantee safety. Fulham win and there will be goals.

Bet – Buy Goals @ 2.6

Stoke v Tottenham – 3:00pm

The pressure is off Stoke with another season of mid table obscurity coming to an end. Tottenham on the other hand need to win to hold on to their Europa League spot as you sense Man Utd will make one final push in their last 4 games post-Moyes. Spurs chiefs have already decided Sherwood is not their man and I don’t see him handling the pressure for his final 3 games.

Bet – Sell Tottenham Supremacy @ 0.1

Swansea v Aston Villa – 3.00pm

Two sides looking for another couple of points to ensure safety. Both have been in poor form of late and it’s something of a blessing that this one isn’t on the box. I’m expecting a no score draw.

Bet – Buy time of first goal @ 40

West Brom v West Ham – 3:00pm

West Ham played for a month this season (February), won four matches and that has all but guaranteed their safety. They have won 2 from 6 since and lost their last 3 on the trot. West Brom are in a different situation and are in the middle of a proper relegation battle. I expect them to come out of the blocks quickly and go on to win.

Bet – Sell time of first West Brom goal @v44

Man Utd v Norwich – 5:30 Sky Sports 1

First game since the shock sacking of David Moyes. You do sense Utd will be keen to end the season on a high, but in reality they just aren’t playing that well and that can be hard to change, regardless of the manager. Norwich need something and will be keeping it tight looking for a draw.

Bet – Sell Total Goals @ 3.1

Sunday 27th April

Sunderland v Cardiff – 12:00pm Sky Sports 1

Let’s get the cliché out of the way early. This is a relegation 6 pointer. Sunderland are coming into this game on a high off the back of two fantastic results against title contenders. Cardiff are fighting for their lives also and with an early goal here we could have a high scoring contest.

Bet – Buy Total Goals @ 2.85

Liverpool v Chelsea – 2:05pm Sky Sports 1

Title decider. Liverpool have been in absolutely fantastic form since New Year and at present you get the feeling that with the confidence they have they will beat anyone at present. Chelsea have an eye on the Champions League. Liverpool will win this and wrap the league up in the process.

Bet – Buy total goals @ 3.3

Crystal Palace v Man City – 4:10 Sky Sports 1

Palace have won their last 5 games on the trot. I almost have to check that I have written that line. They have been safe for a couple of games now and are playing without any pressure. City are hanging to their last thread of a chance at winning the league, but that will be done by the time Liverpool beat Chelsea in the earlier game. Expect City heads to go down and Palace to play well, enjoying their opportunity to play pressure free.

Bet – Sell City supremacy @1.25

Monday 28th April

Arsenal v Newcastle – 8:00pm Sky Sports 1

Arsenal, having led the league at Christmas now find themselves in a fight to hold on to fourth. However, if there was anyone you want to play at the minute when you’re in need of a win it’s Newcastle. They are in abysmal form at present and Arsenal will have no trouble beating them. 1.9 goals is probably a bit high to be buying them at, so a better bet is the sell of Arsenal’s first goal.

Bet – Sell time of first Arsenal goal @ 35
