S.P. Read Esq. Looking long at Carlisle Ladies Night
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P.Read Esq. looks ahead to the card at CARLISLE on Monday with a recommended bet on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

Ninjago’s excellent run in second gave me a profit on Star Spreads of 59 points on Saturday and a profit of 148 points on the week:

FRI – LOSS 4 POINTS
SAT – PROFIT 59 POINTS
I thought there was an angle in at Carlisle tonight on the distances market.
The races are confined to lady riders and some inexperienced ones at that.
That can often be good news for distance buyers as inexperienced riders (male as well, before I get accused of sexism!) can often get the pace wrong and that CAN lead to exaggerated winning distances.
I don’t want to spoil the good work of last week so will keep stakes low – but 11.5 as a starting point looks very within target range – especially on a track with a stiff finish where horses need to be kept up to their work.
