Just what the doctor ordered yesterday. Goals and plenty of them at Old Trafford.

I bought goals with Star Spreads at 3.2 so was rewarded with a 0.8 point profit – 8 points to the recommended stakes.

Enough trumpet blowing. There’s more Premier League action this evening at the KC Stadium where hosts Hull take on West Ham.

Hull have made the marginal better start to the new season but history shows they have found West Ham tricky customers with West Ham winning five of the last seven head to heads.

Both teams are likely to field some recent arrivals. Most significantly former West Ham player Mohamed Diame could make his first start against his previous club.

New West Ham recruits Alex Song and Morgan Amalfitano are both available for selection.

Hull (from): McGregor, Harper, Davies, Dawson, Rosenior, Robertson, Diame, McShane, Elmohamady, Huddlestone, Livermore, Ince, Brady, Jelavic, Aluko, Sagbo, Quinn, Meyler, Hernandez, Ben Arfa, Rodriguez.

West Ham (from): Adrian, Jaaskelainen, Cresswell, O’Brien, Reid, Burke, Tomkins, Collins, Demel, Jenkinson, Noble, Kouyate, Song, Poyet, Morrison, Amalfitano, Downing, Jarvis, Vaz Te, Cole, Zarate, Sakho, Valencia.

Hull are out of the Europa League but that could well prove a blessing in disguise in terms of avoiding fatigue.

Both teams are struggling in front of goal and we may need to wait longer than 43 minutes for the first match goal so am buying on that market with Star Spreads.
