S.P.Read Esq: Luton v Wycombe
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the League Two game on Tuesday between LUTON v WYCOMBE and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
The SKY cameras are at the Prostate Cancer UK stadium tonight for Luton v Wycombe. Luton are supporting the charity by renaming their Kenilworth Road ground for this one match.
The hosts are desperate to reverse their recent poor run of form which has seen them lose four games in a row but they remain very much in play-off contention in sixth place.
Wycombe are doing even better, currently in an automatic promotion place of third – 10 points ahead of Luton.
The reverse fixture finished 1-1 at Wycombe in December – both goals coming inside the first eight minutes of the match.
Luton have a fairly lengthy injury list. Midfielder Jonathan Smith is out with a knee injury and goalkeeper Mark Tyler and midfielder Nathan Doyle are absent with similar problems.
Wycombe will be boosted by striker Matt McClure returning after a three-match ban and fellow forward Hogan Ephraim could also be back after illness.
Whilst the Hatters of Luton recent form causes concern it’s worth pointing out that at home they are still a tough nut to crack and have the third best home record in the league.
