S.P.Read Esq: Republic Of Ireland v Scotland
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Euro 2016 Qualifier on Saturday (5pm SKY) between REPUBLIC OF IRELAND v SCOTLAND and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Good result for the column yesterday with the Gareth Bale goal coming after 25 minutes and the June profit on Star Spreads now stands at 578.5 points !!
More Euro 2016 action on Saturday and the feature game at 5pm is Republic of Ireland v Scotland.
Ireland come into this on the back of one of the dullest games ever – the 0-0 friendly against England – and need to claim all three points to really keep their hopes for the tournament proper alive.
That might be hard against a Scottish side who are in good form themselves and are currently two points superior to the ROI in the competitive Group D. It certainly could get tactical given that Scotland just need to avoid defeat in order to stay in front of the ROI.
Asked if he would accept a point Scotland manager Gordon Strachan said: “I can’t remember any manager telling me that this is the way you play for a draw. I don’t think I have tried it. Try to win and see what happens after that.”
Robbie Keane is a big doubt for the game at the Aviva Stadium after a terrible work accident this week which saw the death of two of his cousins.
Aiden McGeady is also doubtful after injury.

Selling the third match goal at 80 is my approach despite this match not generally producing many goals. However, selling at 80 is a real tempter on Star Spreads as there is little downside. 1-1 at HT would make it very interesting !!
