S.P.Read Esq: Ballinrobe Tuesday
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the evening card at BALLINROBE and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Not the best result in the end on The Open – but a nice profit noneth less thanks to Spieth and Day (two of three recommended buys on the Star Spreads Leaderboard market).
There were some juicy winning distances on the flat at Ballinrobe last night and the hope is that distance buyers will be rewarded again on their seven race jumps card which gets underway at 5.50pm on soft to heavy ground.
The distances in the 7.30pm last night were astonishing for a 1m 1f 110y flat race:
15 lengths
21 lengths
head
40 lengths
16 lengths
It’s testing ground tonight and at the time of writing there areĀ 12 non runners so far on the card.
I’m buying at 36 so am looking for an average of 5.14 lengths across the 7 race card to get into profit. The ground is soft to heavy.
There are several races where we have good hope of getting a good result on the wide margin distance front.
I’m certainly looking towards the 6.20 for a good result – the market is dominated by Way Wild West and Georges Conn who have both been off the track for a long time and there must be every chance that one will underperform.
There are only three runners in the 7.25 but it looks competitive so it won’t necessarily be a good result.
The concluding bumper could easily produce a wide margin winner. Market leaders Lady Dromlac and Brogine are both totally unproven on ground like this.
