S.P.Read Esq: Man U v Liverpool
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Premier League match at 5.30pm tonight between MAN U v LIVERPOOL and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Less said about yesterday’s recommendation the better. Highlighting the fact that Reading hadn’t scored in their last six home games clearly was the catalyst for them to bang in five against Ipswich. Go figure 🙁
Quick quiz question.
What do Manchester City, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leicester City, Swansea City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham United, Southampton, Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Norwich City and West Bromwich Albion have in common ??
ANSWER: They all sit above Chelsea in the Premier League. Astonishing scenes.
Man City’s late winner against Palace earlier today has already given the table a distinct feel of GSM, in tennis parlance game, set and match.
In many ways tonight’s big match between Man U and Liverpool takes on even more importance as both teams have a chance to at least make a move towards the top and both surely will be keen to avoid the draw that plays even more into the hands of the light blues. In any event, there hasn’t been a draw between these two in their last 17 head to heads.
Man U were slightly weak on Star Sports fixed odds in early trading but Liverpool have lost on seven of their last eight trips to Old Trafford across all competitions and to my mind have picked up some quite cheap points so far this season without playing great football.
Liverpool’s manager Brendan Rodgers said ahead of the fixture: “United are a huge club and will always be under scrutiny. The intensity of this fixture is still there. The players will feel it. We’ve had two tough games away from home and performed well in terms of our organisation. We also want to be really creative. This is the biggest derby game in the history of this league. Winning a game like this can give you psychological boost.”
