Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Premier League game on Monday between LEICESTER v CHELSEA and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadThere’s much more pressure on Leicester than Chelsea tonight IMO despite the defending champions dangling just one point above the relegation zone. Even Newcastle are now in front of them !!

Leicester’s stunning start to the season has confounded all of the experts and a win tonight will send them back to the top of the table with a two point cushion. A loss could easily be the turning point for their momentum to fade as quickly as it came.

Chelsea, on the other hand, have almost gone past the point of pressure and expectations on them are now greatly realigned. For whatever reason, and nobody really seems to know why, Mourinho’s men have not gelled this season and whilst going into this match as favourites can hardly be backed with any degree of confidence.

So it’s the revelation of the season v the desperation of the season.

Interestingly, the Foxes’ last win against Chelsea came in February 2001 when Claudio Ranieri was the Chelsea manager !!

Now the Leicester manager, Ranieri said: “Chelsea for me means a lot because I worked there for four years. I’m very proud to have been their manager. But that’s an old story and now my focus is on Leicester. Their record does not mean anything as Chelsea are Chelsea and Mourinho is Mourinho. I’m sure at the end of the season they will be in the top four.”

Chelsea could name an unchanged side from the team that beat FC Porto in the Champions League. Mourinho revealed: “I said a couple of weeks ago I don’t believe they [Leicester] can be champions. Maybe I have to think twice before saying that again. One thing is to be top of the league in September after a beautiful start. Another thing is to be top of the league in December.”
