S.P.Read Esq: Sunderland v Liverpool

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Premier League game on Wednesday between SUNDERLAND v LIVERPOOL and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadRing out the old, bring in the new… Sunderland host the final Premier League fixture of 2015 when they welcome Liverpool to the Stadium of Light tonight and Sunderland will surely be anxious to close the door on 2015.

Having narrowly escaped relegation last season, Sunderland are already looking like they will again need the professional services of Mr Harold Houdini alongside Sam Allardyce as they bid to escape the drop. Aston Villa already look doomed and it wouldn’t be huge odds that Sunderland could exit via the trap door alongside arch rivals Newcastle.

A win tonight would certainly give them hope heading into the New Year but Liverpool will be tough nuts to crack – even allowing for the fact that the Jurgen Klopp honeymoon period appears to be over.

Liverpool’s 1-0 win over high-flying Leicester at Anfield last time was their first win in five matches and they have been beaten by both Newcastle (2-0) and Watford (3-0) on their recent travels.

Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp will again be without Daniel Sturridge as he recovers from injury and he will miss the match together with Divick Origi and James Milner.
