S.P. Read Esq: Man City v West Ham

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Sunday’s Premier League clash between MAN CITY v WEST HAM and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadThose who backed, or even just watched, West Ham’s sorry exit from the Europa League at the hands of Astra Giurgiu will hardly be in a rush to support them getting anything from their trip to the Etihad this afternoon.

West Ham were truly shocking and their long injury list really showed. A ray of the light for them today with the news that Mark Noble is fit again and is in the starting XI.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic said: “We are all disappointed because it was a big blow [going out of Europe].

“But we have to pick ourselves up and show character and quality. It wasn’t very likely for us to win there last season as Manchester City had started great with five wins, 15 points and no goals conceded.

“There’s no reason why we shouldn’t do it again this season.”

The only statistic that may give Hammers fans hope is that Man City have only won just one of their last four meetings and this fixture ended 2-2 last season.

Plenty of goals have very much been a feature of these two sides recent parings.

Man City had a much easier midweek game – cruising to a place in the Champions League group stages and I expect them to be scoring freely today.
