S.P. Read Esq: Man Utd v Fenerbahce

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Thursday’s Europa League game between MAN U v FENERBAHCE and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadFairly safe to assume that Man U boss Jose Mourinho has his eyes more firmly fixed on Sunday’s Premier League game with Chelsea but Fenerbahce will be no pushover.

The trip didn’t start well for the Turkish side – their arrival in Manchester was delayed when the plane carrying the team was forced to make an emergency landing after it was hit by a bird.

Wayne Rooney starts for Man U having been a substitute for their last four matches and the match will also feature the Old Trafford return of Robin Van Persie who joined Fenerbahçe in 2015. Their side also includes ex-Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.

Fenerbahce are only ninth in Turkey’s Super Lig, but currently top of Group A of the Europa League, a point ahead of third-placed United.

In their last Europa League match Man U struggled to get past Zorya Luhansk needing a winner from Zlatan Ibrahimovic (not in the starting XI tonight).

A low scoring game again looks likely and I’m a buyer of the first match goal with Star Spreads.
