S.P. Read Esq: Crystal Palace v Man U

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Wednesday’s Premier League clash between CRYSTAL PALACE v MAN U and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPread7.45pm on Tuesday is the new 3pm on Saturday with eight Premier League games tonight including the televised Crystal Palace v Man U on BT Sport at 8pm.

This will be their third meeting of the year with Man U winning the two previous encounters extending their unbeaten sequence against Palace to seven.

United are playing better football and a win for them here could spell the end of Pardew who is already under immense pressure at Selhurst Park.

15th in the table, Palace are only three points away from the bottom three and have dates with Chelsea and Arsenal over the festive period.

A 3-0 win over Southampton ended a disastrous sequence of six losses on the spin for Palace.

Defence has been the big problem for Pardew’s side and the manager said of tonight’s game: “The defenders I’m playing are those who have been here two or three years. Sometimes it’s about confidence and a bit of luck here and there.

“Defending is a team duty. Everyone has a responsibility to defend, even the substitutes. That’s something we want to improve on.

“Sometimes our substitutes haven’t shored us up as well as they should have.”
