S.P. Read Esq: Man City v Arsenal
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Sunday’s Premier League clash between MAN CITY v ARSENAL and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Man City v Arsenal is one of those games that has draw written all over it. The problem though, is that is the one result that really isn’t good enough for either side.
Such is the pressure that Chelsea have put on the Premier League, nothing short of three points will be enough for either side and even that might not be enough if Chelsea keep doing what they did yesterday (winning 1-0).
Arsenal could close the gap to six points and I fancy them to do just that. Man City’s early season form seems a distant memory now and with the absence of the suspended pair Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho and the injured Ilkay Gundogan they might just wobble a little more today.
Certainly there’s been plenty of wobbling of late. They’ve suffered Premier League losses at the hands of Chelsea and Leicester in their last three games and were held 2-2 in this fixture last season.
Arsenal suffered their first league defeat since the opening weekend when beaten 2-1 by Everton last week but prior to that their form is strong, particularly against the
better clubs.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: “Guardiola brings his philosophy through. You expect him to put his print into his team.
“What you want of a top-level game is that it reaches the expectation quality-wise. I think that will happen because I am a positive man.”
