S.P. Read Esq: Man U v Liverpool
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Sunday’s Premier League clash between MAN U v LIVERPOOL and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
It’s easy to over-hype these big head to head Premier League clashes (…. and SKY need no help on that project) but given the current table Man U v Liverpool takes on an even more significance than normal – let’s just hope it DOES live up to the hype.
It’s straightforward really:
Liverpool have the chance to move into second
Man U have the chance to move into the top five
And it’s the second leg of today’s Merseyside v Manchester derby with the score 4-0 at half-time !!!
Man U with home advantage and in top form might be tough to peg back. Mourinho’s men have now won six consecutive games and come up against a Liverpool side who are just faltering a little. They haven’t won in three games now – however two of those matches concerned the FA Cup and the EFL Cup.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said: “I hear it in your questions, I hear it when I talk to different people, because of our last game (the 1-0 defeat at Southampton) it is like ‘Oh my God – and now it is Man United’ but give me 11 players and we will be competitive.
“I know how they (players) react to not-that-good performances. It is not about being confident before the game, it is about getting confidence in the game with the right kind of movements, right kind of defending.”
