S.P. Read Esq: Arsenal v WBA
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Monday’s Premier League clash between ARSENAL v WBA and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Monday Night Football from the Emirates with the Gunners playing host to West Brom.
It should be fairly straight-forward for Arsenal but the way they are playing at the moment the usual roller-coaster looks on the cards.
West Brom beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Hawthorns in March and this same fixture finished 1-0 to Arsenal in December thanks to Olivier Giroud scoring the only goal of the match on 86 minutes.
West Brom have made a solid start to the new season with wins against Bournemouth and Burnley but have since had two draws against Stoke and West Ham and were beaten 3-1 by Brighton at the Amex.
It’s the start of a busy week for Arsenal with a Europa League away trip to Belarus to play Bate Borisov on Thursday and back at the Emirates on Sunday for the visit of Brighton.
Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger said: “West Brom have the culture of the Premier League, a manager who knows how the league works. They are very strong on set-pieces, solid defensively – it’s tough to score against them.”
Wenger will be without the services of Danny Welbeck who is out for a month with a groin injury but both Mesut Ozil and Theo Walcott could return after injury.
For WBA Gareth Barry is all set for a record 633rd Premier League appearance.
Barry said: “As crazy as it sounds after all these years, my focus will be on winning the game.
“When you make your debut as a young kid you’re never setting yourself a target like this. Even when you play 500 games you think you’re coming to the end of your career and you’re not expecting to play many more games.”

I’m keeping it simple with a sell of the first ARSENAL goal at 39 minutes with Star Spreads. The question is whether Arsenal will keep it simple though?
