S.P. Read Esq: Tottenham v West Ham

Déjà vu a bit tonight with another London derby in the Premier League. This time Spurs taking on West Ham at Wembley.
It’s been a good Christmas for Spurs who beat Burnley 3-0 (23 Dec), Southampton 5-2 (26 Dec) and Swansea 2-0 (2 Jan).
In contrast West Ham dramatically beat West Brom coming from 2-0 down but drew with Bournemouth and suffered a defeat at the hands of Newcastle.
This really needs to be the start of some table climbing for David Moyes’ team. After tonight they have a relatively kind set of fixtures against Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Palace, Brighton and Watford before a trip to Anfield on 24 Feb.
Spurs however won’t be looking to end their winning run – three points tonight will lift them to 43 points – just one point off a top four place – but they then face a tough set of fixtures meeting Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal consecutively.
