The penultimate game of World Cup 2010 sees surprise package Uruguay do battle with Germany for third place. Italia 90 aside, no one remembers losing semi finalists of course, but there are important issues still to be decided… a brace for Miroslav Klose would make him the leading scorer in World Cup history, while a couple for Diego Forlan would give him a outside chance of the Golden Boot…
…not to mention the Star Spreads Office Dream Team competition.
Goals are quoted higher than usual and bookings are on the low side as is the norm in ‘nothing to play for’ games… But how do you see it? Will you be one of the shrewdies who bucks the trend and predicts a low scoring affair by selling goals at 3.0? Or do you purchase Miroslav’s goal minutes at 32 and watch the inevitable headed winner that cements legendary status for the Polish born hitman??
And should he become the World Cup’s most prolific goal getter, what price this number to be dropped on the dance floors of Dusseldorf come Saturday Night?
