The Weekly Accumulator (21/12/2011)

Published On December 21, 2011 | By dominic | Tony

I have decided to write a blog on the accumulator bets I do on a weekly basis. Obviously, it’s very rare that these bets kop for me, but they make things interesting when the footy isn’t that great. Luckily, there’s some decent footy on tonight, and as a Gooner, it would have been rude not to include Van Persie and Co. in my weekly acc!

Aston Villa v Arsenal

Villa didn’t turn up in any way shape or form against Liverpool, and Richard Dunne was dire. Van the Man is after his record, and I can’t see Villa causing us much trouble. Verdict: Away win.

Man City v Stoke

I have a soft spot for Stoke, they love to cause an upset! Going to the Etihad tonight to face a City team that are still recovering from a hard-earned victory against my beloved Arsenal, I think we might see a draw here. Verdict: Draw.

Newcastle v West Brom

West Brom won at the weekend against the troubled Blackburn, and Newcastle have struggled lately after a tough run. However, I think home advantage will prevail in this one. Verdict: Home win.

Everton v Swansea

I expect this to be quite a dull game, neither team score that often, and don’t tend to concede many either. Verdict: Scoreless Draw.

Fulham v Man Utd

Fulham did extremely well to beat Liverpool at Craven Cottage a couple of weeks ago, but United seem to grind these ones out time and time again. I think that United will concede, but they’ll come away with three points. Verdict: Away win.

QPR v Sunderland

QPR haven’t won in over a month, and I expect that to continue tonight. Martin O’ Neill needs to justify his appointment, and his players need to step up and earn their spot with the January Transfer Window looming. Verdict: Away win.

Wigan v Liverpool

Don’t see it going any other way than an away win here. Liverpool are under a lot of pressure to perform and I think that they will edge it. Verdict: Away win.

Just to tell you what odds I’ve gotten folks, 600/1. Odds are that high for a good reason though so don’t think this is a tip of any sort!  ;)
