Superbowl Final

I seem to be the only one in the office who is not completely fascinated by the NFL. Now don’t get me wrong I don’t hate it, I’ve even watched an Oakland Raiders game on holiday many years ago. There’s so many snack breaks no wonder the American are so big. When booking the tickets I remember asking for tickets to the American Football and they thought I was mad. “Hey buddy it’s just football”. I don’t know, these Americans calling it football when the ball only gets kicked a dozen times a match, of course it should be call throwball or carryball or something like that.

Anyway in the spirit of joining in I am going to tip you the winner of this year’s Superbowl World Series Final. It’s the day after the 49ers of San Francisco have beaten the Saints of New Orleans, well of course they did a miner can always beat a man of God as no-one would claim God was helping them in their NFL endeavours. So this leaves the following match ups.

Houston Texans v Baltimore Ravens:
Obviously a Texan can defeat a mere bird, Houston through to the semis.

New York Giants v Green Bay Packers:
This is so simple. It’s as clear as day a giant will beat a mere packer. Seems a bit of a mismatch to me.

This will make the Semi-Finals

New England Patriots v Houston Texans:
Tough to call, a Patriot and a Texan seems pretty much the same thing but I believe the patriots are at home and surely patriotic home support will mean they edge this encounter.

San Francisco 49ers v New York Giants:
Easy call a miner versus a Giant no contest a walkover for the Giants

This makes the Superbowl Cup Final
New England Patriots v New York Giants

Again obviously the Giants win. Do the giants win every year they certainly should. Someone should buy a franchise and rename them the Davids or the Giantbashers or some such name.

So this year’s Superbowl Cup Winners will be the Giants of New York which you can back at 14/1 at the moment. Blimey I should be paying more attention to this pigskin malarkey it’s money for old rope. So having picked the Cup winner this week I’ll have a look at the league and pick the winner in my next blog.

I would like to thank Diane Chambers for her help in picking strategy, so “Cheers”.
