Super Bowl Bet

After success for my maximum bet on England v Scotland in the six nations yesterday we should play up some our winnings on the Super Bowl tonight between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.

The Giants defeated the Patriots 17-14 in 2008 to ruin the Patriots perfect season and their chance of going 19-0. This game is being billed as a chance for revenge for New England and, although only 20 players combined return from each team’s roster, there are some similarities between the two games. The Giants will generally only rush four players in an attempt to have plenty of coverage in the secondary to deal with Tom Brady’s favourite targets Aaron Hernandez, Wes Welker and the offensive break-out star of the season Rob Gronkowski.

In short, most pundits believe that New England are a worse team than in previous years and the Giants are the team on a roll with a perfect plan to beat the Patriots. Any team that makes the Super Bowl, by the nature of a knockout tournament, are on a winning run and too much is being made of the Giants post season form. They were fortunate to beat San Francisco and people seem to be forgetting that they have had numerous poor performances this season. Their most recent performances have been good but they were outscored in the regular season and if “bad Eli” turns up New England will be too ruthless for them.

New England are slightly the better team if they both play well and their bad days are much better than the Giants bad days.

Big Bet 1 – 3pt win NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS to win the match

Big Bet 2 – 1pt buy @ 3 NEW ENGLAND / NEW YORK GIANTS on the spreads.
