Frankie goes to Hollywood

So apparently Frankie Dettori has been a naughty boy…

The Racing Post is suggesting that the substance he tested positive for at Longchamps was cocaine.

Now I’m not going to suggest that oul’ Frankie boy has been on the California Cornflakes, but if he is found to have been doing so, what’s next for the man that’s was demoted with Godolphin and packed his bags for freelance work?

If it does turn out that Frankie had coke in his system, then I’m pointing the finger at Mickael Barzalona! He had the most to gain from all of this, so what was stopping the 22 year-old dragging old-man Dettori out on the tear with the rest of his crazy jockey entourage and showing him a good night?

Poor Frankie stood no chance! He succumbed to the peer pressure and had a few lines. It was a stitch-up! I hate hearing things like “They all seem to be at it these days.” Are people really that naive that they think that this is a new phenomenon? Come on you idiots, with the levels of disposable income that these guys have, and the lifestyle associated with sporting celebrities, this kind of thing is bound to happen.

It’s wrong that he did it (if he did it) but it’s not like he was cheating to achieve glory. It’s not like Frankie and the horses were hiding in the bathrooms at Longchamps cutting up lines and talking absolute cack to one another. By all accounts it was at a social event and he had a ‘moment of madness’. Coke will do that to you Frankie!

Let’s just give him a ban, forget about it and move on. Otherwise there won’t be many sporting personalities around to entertain us, and Frankie has always been one that put a smile on people’s faces!
