The Two Horse Race Continues:
It’s plain to see that the Premier League trophy is heading to Manchester this year (Skipper knew and told you in an earlier Blog). The only question that remains to be answered is will it be the red or blue half? My Long-Term footie portfolio is a little lob-sided at the minute and I am hoping for a few Manchester United slip ups.
There is a long way to go and lots more twists and turns along the way (funnily enough I still think City look a fair bet at 7/2). Enough of the Long-Term mull, let’s take a look at the games on Sunday and see can we sniff out any bets.
Manchester United v Liverpool:
The 1.30 kick off sees Liverpool make the trip to Old Trafford. Liverpool are not the team they have been in previous seasons but can still hold their own against the big boys. This is the 6th best team in the country taking on the best and will be a great game to watch. I’ll be backing back the draw in this one and hope that Liverpool’s average defence can stop the Man Utd forwards… Or even better maybe United just have a bad day…. They are due one.
Arsenal v Manchester City:
This is the best game of the week in my opinion. I know most will be expecting a goal fest with 81 goals scored by these sides in the Premiership so far. But that ain’t how the Skip rolls is it. I will be selling the total goals at 3 and selling the match goal rush at 38. Man City are not half the team on the road and Arsenal plain and simple are just not that good (sorry Tiger/T-Bone).
