The draw had been made and surprise surprise Barcelona and Real Madrid are on opposite sides of the draw.

The draw is meant to be totally random but if I could have got 10/11 that these two Baddies were on opposite sides of the draw I would have steamed in.

There are lots of different theories on how the draw is done. One is the ‘Hot Ball’ theory. In this situation the teams that are wanted on opposite sides of the draw (In this case Barca and Madird) are given heated balls as to differentiate then from the other teams in the draw. So to the viewing public it all looks nice and random but Steve McManaman and Co can easily make sure Uefa get the draw they want.

Yes a Barcelona v Real Madrid final is what the wagon Public want but what about the punters who are on the likes of Dortmund, Bayern and Malaga (Me essentially).

This might seem like sour grapes or massive after timing but before the draw I asked numerous Shrewdies to give me 10/11 that they would be on opposite side and got no takers.

If Uefa want to have seeded tournaments then go ahead. That’s not a problem at all. At least we all know who the No.1 and No.2 seeds are from the start and we can get on with our punting accordingly. But to call it a ‘random draw’ and set it up for the best T.V ratings and money to line Ueafa pockets is B.S.
