Champions League Final

Well the footy traders here at Star Spreads got what they wanted. The big cheer all season among the lads in the office was a Munich/Dortmund final and the Germans obliged. Extraordinary looking back that Muich were 14s at one stage and Dortmund were 40s! Needless to say we’ve all “greened up” to leave only a small cheer.

With a good ante-post book in our favour, and deposits down on houses and new cars paid for, we’re looking to get greedy and sniff out even more value in tonight’s game.

Although we’ve been very bullish on Munich all year, I feel like Dortmund at 19/5 could be a bit of value. Munich have a shocking record in CL finals and I feel like the “rag” could spring a surprise. Put it this way: Dortmund shouldn’t be 19/5 against anyone right now, even with a depleted squad.

Looking at the spreads, the total goals quote looks about right. I don’t think there’s any real value either way. But I think there is an angle to be found. I’ll be buying total goal minutes at around the 150 mark as I think there’ll be some late drama after a slow start to proceedings. The start of these games is often very cagey with so much at stake, but I can see things really opening up in the second half.

I’ll also be looking to buy Arjen Robben goal minutes at 17. He’s been in great form all season and I fancy him to bang one in tonight (hopefully in the 90th minute!).

Let’s hope the game lives up to the hype and we have a nice open game featuring two teams who have deservedly booked a spot in the final. And remember to give us a call if you want to get a proper bet on. We lay some of the biggest bets in the industry and accommadate some of the country’s biggest punters. Good luck and happy punting!
