Australia v Lions – The Decider

Published On July 5, 2013 | By dominic | Featured Post, Tony

After two Tests decided in the dying seconds and separating the teams by a single point so far, British and Irish Lions, the third and final battle is shaping up to an bona-fide nail biter. The major talking point over here has been Warren Gatland’s decision to drop veteran centre Brian O’ Driscoll for Saturday’s decider, opting to lean heavily on familiar Welsh faces as the Lions aim to win a series for the first time since 1997. Despite Gatland making 6 changes to his squad from the second test, Australia are making just the one, albeit a gamble in its own right, by bringing Geroge Smith back in for his first Test in four years.

Looking at the way these two teams are going to line-up, I think there’s a case to be made for being a bit stronger Australia for the third test. 10/11 Australia 11/10 Lions is a bit too weak for me and I’ll be looking to get as much on at 20/21 (Stan James) and the rest on at 10/11 because I really can’t see that 10/11 being there for too long. (As I’m writing this there’s blue popping up on oddschecker!) On the spreads side of things, this is where it gets interesting…

***Our competitors are going an industry-standard two spread on the supremacy, but Star Spreads aren’t a ‘standard’ firm. That’s why we are going a ONE SPREAD on the supremacy for tomorrow’s fixture, meaning you’re guaranteed to get the value.***

Our price for the game is Australia / Lions 0-1
