Premier League Super Sunday

After a good start in week 1 (winning 3.9 points from 5pts invested) let’s see if we can find a few winners for this weekend’s Super Sunday action.

13.00 Sky Sports 1
Liverpool v Manchester United

Liverpool come into this, their third game, with full points from their previous two outings. Daniel Sturrage has had a brilliant start to the season, netting every time he is on the pitch (who needs Luis Suarez?).

Manchester United don’t have the most dependable defence and Sturrage could continue his scoring streak in this one. United on the other hand look very lively up front: RVP, Welbeck and the return of Wayne Rooney – with a man of the match performance against Chelsea – could see Liverpool new boy Simon Mignolet having to work hard for another clean sheet.

The question here isn’t who I think will win this game, or who I think has the better side; the real quiz is who will we have a go at with the prices available.

For me Liverpool look too short at 13/8, even with the benefit of The Kop (and Star Spread’s very own The Judge) cheering them on. United available at 19/10 looks juicy enough for me to sink my teeth into here. I’ll be backing them to get back to winning ways and keep their 100% away win record.

16.00 Sky Sports 1
Arsenal v Tottenham

Spurs have won both games so far this season with a little help from the referee on both occasions. They are 2 from 2 with 1-0 wins both with goals from the spot by new wonder sticker Roberto Soldado. I am looking forward to seeing them try to score a goal from open play at attempt number 3.

Arsenal looked shocking in their opening game against Aston Villa, but have since steadied the ship with comfortable wins over Fenerbache and Fulham. Arsenal look too short for me at 11/10 and Tottenham haven’t proven much to me in their opening games either. If I was forced to have a bet in this one I would be taking the draw at 27/10. But I won’t be betting it P.A.

I think its feet up and watch the game for me here.
