Goooooooooodwood. (Hopefully LONG)

I’m tempted to have a pop at Goodwood distances today and I’m a buyer rather than a seller on Star Spreads with a line of around 11.6 > 12.6.

We have seven races and with a lower than course average field size of just 8.2 runners I would be hugely surprised if we don’t see some wide margin winners.

Goodwood is a quirky track – and I like quirky tracks for distances, especially when I’m long, as you’ve always got the strong possibility of horses simply not handling the course and dropping back.

Add into the mix the opening three races are all non handicaps – and I’m hoping to have several lengths in the bag before the first handicap at 4.05 which would allow a trading out position – if that’s how you wish to play the market.
