SAT: Man U v Crystal Palace.
The Premier League returns on Saturday after what many will argue was the unwelcome break because of the international action.
First up is as one-sided as you are likely to see, on paper at least. Man U v Crystal Palace at 12.45 and live on BT Sport 1.
The last time these teams met at Old Trafford was in November 2011 in the Carling Cup when Palace pulled off a shock winning 2-1.
However, that was the Carling Cup and this is the Premier League. Last year’s Premier League Champions v last year’s Championship play-off winners.
Palace manager Ian Holloway will be banished to the stands for this one after he was charged with two separate counts by the Football Association for comments made about officials following the 1-0 defeat by Tottenham – charges he chose not to contest.
Holloway will take heart from Palace’s 3-1 win at home against Sunderland but is only too aware of Palace’s poor away form – winning only one of their last league games away from Selhurst Park.
By their own high standards Man U haven’t made the best of starts, four points from three games and five points off league leaders Liverpool. They still look unsettled under the new Moyes regime and this could be closer than the spreads are indicating.
RECOMMENDATION
My play on Star Spreads is to SELL Man U / Crystal Palace supremacy at around 2.1.
Any spread prices quoted are indicative and as always prices are subject to fluctuation.
