Rugby Spread Betting Markets

SUPREMACY

If we thought Ireland were slight favourite over Scotland for a rugby match we might put our supremacy price at Ireland over Scotland 3 to 6 points i.e.
Ireland / Scotland 3-6

If you thought Ireland would do well you would bet high or “buy” their supremacy at 6 for your chosen stake say €10 a point.

If you were right you would win €10 for every point over 6 that Ireland beat Scotland by

So if Ireland won 36-10 (won by 26 points) you would win (26-6) x €10 = Win €200

If Ireland won 50-10 (won by 40 points) you would win (40-6) x €10 = Win €340

But if you were wrong you would lose €10 for each point worse Ireland did than winning by 6

So if Ireland won 12-9 (won by 3 points) you would lose (6-3) x €10 = Lose €30

If Ireland LOST 25-20 (lost by 5 points) you would lose (6+5) x €10 = Lose €110

TOTAL POINTS

The predicted number of points scored by both teams in total.

Eg: Ireland v Italy

· Market Result: Ireland 31-7 Italy = 38 points

TIME OF 1st MATCH TRY

Eg: Munster v Scarlets

Spread: 28-31 minutes

· Market result: Munster score after 17 minutes
· Profit = 11 x stake if sold minutes / Loss = 14 x stake if bought

SEASON POINTS
