Back to Wolves (for football not racing)
I landed my bet on the distances at Wolverhampton yesterday – selling at 15 on Star Spreads and a final make up of 14.05.
It was a profit but there was a sting in the tail. Silly Billy lived up to his name when winning the final race by three and a half lengths…. could he have not just scrambled home by a neck ??
We head down the road (about a mile) to Molyneux for tonight’s bet in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy – “The WHAT?” I hear you cry – but before you stop reading it is on Sky – such are the consequences of having international action later in the week.
Wolves are at home to Notts County in the 7.45pm kick off.

Still can’t get used to Wolves being in League One and their supporters will be hoping they are just months away from getting back into the Championship. They have certainly started the season well and are at short odds to win the title already – which seemingly a two horse race with Peterborough.
They should have too much class for Notts County (17th in League One) tonight even though this tournament is unlikely to figure high in their seasons priorities.
As such I’m a buyer on the superiority index at around 1.0.
ADVICE
BUY WOLVERHAMPTON / NOTTS COUNTY at around 1.0
