10 Things We Learnt This Weekend by Alan
1. The Baggies are no push-over. West Brom have now taken points off Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
2. Chelsea need a dive to save Mourinho’s home record. What price they lose at home this year now?
3. Martin Jol odds for sacking slashed as Fulham fall victim to another bashing. He is now 4/9 to be gone by the end of the year.
4. Suarez still on target for top goal scorer after netting twice in Liverpool’s 4-0 home win. 9/4 available industry-wide.
5. Southampton are looking better and better. Another win brings the Saints to third in the table. Arsenal next up for them and 6/1 on the road looks a fair price.
6. Norwich get their first win in five and bounce back from the 7-0 drubbing by Man City last week.
7. Spurs fall further behind. 37/1 now available for the title. Not for me. They will be lucky to get top 4.
8. Manchester City still can’t get a result on the road. How are this lot jollies for the Premiership? It was Sunderland they played, not Barcelona!
9. Manchester United pull themselves back into the race. (Not that they were ever out of it in my mind).
10. Arsenal still look a fair price at 4/1 for the League. They were beaten 1-0 away from home in a league where home field is worth 0.37 of a goal. You ‘Gooners’ don’t need to start worrying just yet.
