9+3=12. Enough for Arsenal.

Back to the Champions League tonight and we’ll focus on the action at the Emirates where Arsenal entertain Marseille who have yet to pick up a point in Group F.

You have to suspect they are better than the bare table suggests – and they certainly made Arsenal work hard when they met in France in September with the Gunners running out 2-1 winners.

Both teams are in good form domestically – Arsenal have a four point cushion at the top of the Premier League and had a good win against an in-form Southampton to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford.

Marseille are fourth in their league and come here on the back of two good wins.

Arsenal have just won one of their last 18 games by more than two goals and it’s hard to envisage them going goal crazy tonight. Certainly, the three previous encounters between these two sides have produced tight games.

HEAD TO HEAD RECORD
(Max last 10 only)
Sep 2013 C League Marseille 1-2 Arsenal
Nov 2011 C League Arsenal 0-0 Marseille
Oct 2011 C League Marseille 0-1 Arsenal

groupfArsenal still need a win – it’s tight at the top of Group F but a win for Arsenal should take them to the last 16 stage.

Arsenal provisional squad: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Flamini, Cazorla, Ramsey, Ozil, Walcott, Giroud, Fabianski, Arteta, Monreal, Wilshere, Rosicky, Gnabry, Vermaelen, Bendtner.

On the basis I think it could be closer than the markets are suggesting I am selling Arsenal / Marseille supremacy at around 1.9 on Star Spreads.

ADVICE

SELL ARSENAL / MARSEILLE at around 1.9.
