Things we have learnt this weekend

Alan with his reflections on the weekend’s Premier League results….

….. and his views on AVB getting the boot.

1 Manchester City take there home goals tally to 4.38 per game with a 6-3 trashing of Arsenal.

2 Theo Walcott played a great game on Saturday netting twice but truth be told his Arsenal team were never in contention.

3 Cardiff move above West Brom with another strong home performance. West Brom make it four loses on the bounce.

4 Chelsea get back to winning ways with a 2-1 over Crystal Palace. Now at 4/1 for the title…Not for me thanks.

5 Everton beat Fulham 4-1 and show they are not a one man team with no goals coming from super striker Lukaku. Only one loss all season for Everton and that was away to Man City. Champions league next year?

6 Honours even at St James’ Park where Newcaste and Southampton draw 1-1. The magpies lie in 6th place at the moment but I cant see them finishing in the top 8.

7 Bore draws in the West Ham v Sunderland and Hull v Stoke games. Not the most exciting games on paper and proved to be the case.

8 Manchester United put 3 past Villa on Sunday and earn a comfortable victory. The sit in 8th place 10 pts off leaders Arsenal. 25/1 for the Premiership now but with four teams who look better than them it is going to be a struggle.

9 Super Suarez and his Liverpool team mates destroy Tottenham on Sunday evening. It was men against boys and Spurs never had a hope. Liverpool now 6/1 to win the league and looking stronger every week.

10 Bye bye A.V.B. Tottenham decide enough is enough and let A.V.B go after another devastating defeat. Good decision? I think not but time will tell.
