Chelsea v Galatasaray (7.45pm Champions League)
Dear Mr Mourinho
Tonight’s match referee is Felix Brych.
If you don’t like that then there’s sweet FA you can do about it.
Yours in sport.
The FA
Mourinho continues to rant about the events on the pitch at Villa Park and has even audaciously asked that the Premier League consider not appointing Chris Foy for Chelsea matches in future.
Whatever, whatever, whatever.
He’s got every right to be down in the dumps about the result though. Chelsea still top the table but wins for all of the chasing pack Man City, Liverpool and Arsenal has taken away his comfort cushion at the top and all three teams have games in hand.
It’s back to the Champions League for Chelsea tonight for the return leg against Turkish side Galatasaray who bring with them a certain Drogba back to Stamford Bridge.
Drogba said: “With all the respect that I have for this club, for the fans and for the players, I might not celebrate, but if we win I’ll be happy.”
It’s poised at 1-1 and Galatasaray must either win, or get a score draw of 2-2 or above to progress.
HEAD TO HEAD RECORD
(Max last 10 only)
Feb 2014 C League Galatasaray 1-1 Chelsea
Oct 1999 C League Galatasaray 0-5 Chelsea
Sep 1999 C League Chelsea 1-0 Galatasaray
Chelsea SHOULD bounce back – it’s a better pitch than it was in Istanbul but I can’t be backing them at long odds-on.
A small loss of just 1.5 on the total goals market at Old Trafford at the weekend. Tonight I’m back on bookings and a buy on Star SpreadsĀ for small stakes at 52.
And if Chelsea lose, God help Felix Brych.
